But what is Roux? Is it just another fancy word to catch your eye? Nope. Roux's word origin is French meaning 'browned(butter)'. Roux is essentially equal parts flour to butter cooked, and meant to bring together sauces and soups. We at Roux fell in love with this process, as we too strive to create an experience that brings family and friends together through food. So Roux was created to do just that.
